Intro:
Welcome to the Unreal Tournament 2005, the opportunity to create
your own reality and compete against other artists to find out just
whose artifice is the best. Artists from across the country will
be invited to take part in the Unreal Tournament 2005 by submitting
visual and written documentation of an experience, event or performance.
And, like Survivor without the fireside meetings, judges will determine
whether your documentation gets kicked out or moved up to another
round. The surviving artist becomes the Reigning Unreal Tournament
2005 Champion. All qualifying entries along with the Unreal Tournament
2005 results will be exhibited at venues across the United States.

2005, Round 1.
Rules and Regulations:
Each artist is to document a real event. The "event"
can be an experience, performance, public episode or an "event"
that has been freely interpreted by the
artist.* Each artist is to submit
one digital image that documents the event. Each artist will
also submit supporting documentation of the event (see Submission
Requirements below). All qualifying submissions will be seeded for
competition. The tournament will consist of single elimination
matches with the winner of each match advancing to the next level.
The overall tournament winner will become the Unreal Tournament
2005 Champion and receive an honorary Unreal Tournament Championship
Belt.
Scoring:
In single elimination matches, the artist who accumulates the most
points wins and will advance to the next level. Points are
awarded for artistic, technical and social merit. Entries will
be judged against other entries according to artists' position in
the seeding chart.
Only one artist will prevail through 5 rounds of judging to win
the Unreal Tournament and become the Reigning Unreal Tournament
2005 Champion. That artist begins the following season as top seed.
